I really also wonder why people bring up this topic again and again when it is super trivial to inject custom stylesheet into GTK apps.

If the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it. I have thoughts about GTK but haven't mentioned it in any of that.

I am, admittedly, much more familiar with setting themes in Qt, less so GTK, but I do have working GTK themes. My GTK 3 applications are dark green.

I haven't used any GTK4 applications yet, but I imagine that they are similar.

I don't use a major desktop like KDE anymore, so it's possible my knowledge of user friendly theme configurators has dropped off too. I stopped using 'full' DEs around 2020.

I personally use files in /usr/local/share/themes or .local/share/themes ... and nothing has changed significantly there.
