    hi! i would like some help with issues using xmpp. is this the right place?

    the thing is.. i have a group chat where all of us use omemo. and my phone screen got broken, changed phone, reinstalled conversations.. and now cant send messages to this room

    cpnversations gives an error 'error fetching omemo key'

    and i cant pass the screen sayin 'trust omemo fingerprints'

    also, any one knowns if there a chat about dino software? im having some issues with it! 🙂

    That's strange. One or more of the participants seem to have a bug on the client or server they are using, if you can't fetch keys. If you chat with each with omemo in an 1:1 chat, like one message, it should work then.

    > The edit history seems to be from 2015-2020, not sure if that was just some experiment of replacing MUCs for something different/better it depends what you mean by "where". Because the conversation is different depending on: is it a better solution in general and is there enough motivation for xmpp clients to move to MIX. which mirrors also another problem the federated network of xmpp has which is the unicode version that it is using. we saw an error of a person not being able to join because of that yesterday :) ah and the Omemo version we are also stuck with. the fact that we dont have new servers or apps being written and used also doesn't help. but alas i dont mean to turn this into another "MIX" conversation.

    ajeremias: you can, I guess it might be a wrong permission on the omemo pep node of some client there. If you use gajim to join that room you can look at the xmpp stanzas on what exactly is the error., like who is responsible

    ajeremias: connect a mouse to the usb port of your phone. Or bluetooth, but that probably has the same issue with the broken screen.
