> then it's normal to appear to leave when closing the app, since apple doesn't let you stay connected I've never been able to figure out why people disappear when they close their client (after all the list of called "participants", not "participants that are online" and why Gajim is "joining the room" when I open it, even though I have already joined it before. That's confusing even as someone hosting some servers and I have no idea what's going on. ↺

Well, messages are stored, so I don't have to be continuously online to participate.
