    The messaging spec of ActivityPub should switch to XML for easier parsing and cross-version compatibility

    More like sneakily make ActivityPub specs turn into copies of the relevant XMPP specs, so that they end up being one and the same 😉

    It is based on XMPP already, according to one of the authors at a conference (FOSDEM maybe? I forget)
