depends on if you want to still manage prosody or just kinda plug and play i think?

Weve considered it but may end up cannibalizing their config

its probably a config that works good for all the things they have set up in the docker

but many things in the config depend on the environment youre putting the server in

Yeah were definitely going with docker on a Ubuntu server

It'll be on a cheap VPS for now

thats fine, prosody can practically run on a potato clock

Documentation will be a huge one cause were probably gonna nerd out and write our own docs

This is a private server but for our sysadmins sake we want them to be able to quickly debug

How configurable is snikket I think we need a few modules but if they have good security that'd be a good step

waffles: if configurability is at all important to you, Prosody is a better option than Snikket. Snikket is designed for people who don't want to do their own configuration and maintenance.

I've setup a docker container with prosody running but I can't connect to my MUC!

You muc component ist hosted at your prosody docker too?
