Conversations is generally compliant with the modernxmpp guidelines

We have not got as far as certification, no. The document linked by MSavoritias is best for that (for the protocol side)

hi there. I am experiencing issues with my prosody getting unresponsive. Been collecting debug logs to see whats up and my suspicion is presence stanzas sent to matrix bridged rooms. For example one room alone within one hour sends 5 million presence stanzas. Maranda seem to confirm that this could the be issue. I was then wondering if it's possible to block sending presence stanzas to bifrost rooms (bridged rooms) since matrix doesn't use it anyway.
