Hi all, just a new ordinary xmpp user here.. Just want to ask wether there is an app works like https://migrate.modernxmpp.org/ or have a built-in feature support account portability ?

mathieui: do you still have that contact importer/exporter Python script?
-
Stefan
catchy: xmppc can "export" contacts, but not more.

Stefan: Only export contacts .. No other personal thing and left any public thing.. Can we save all contacts in a file for later use, like import to another account ? Not kind of migrating concept which replace all thing on old account into new account

Bookmarks also. It's a command line tool. You can just > to file.

I store XMPP and SIP contactS in a bookmarks database using *buku*, also `magnet:` links. I recommend doing so, as it's much simple than vCards.

You can also ask the conversations.im folk for a "XEP-0227 export" of your data
-
MattJ
migrate.modernxmpp.org basically does that for you, using XMPP queries
